Cely Construction Company Inc. of Greenville, SC was honored with the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas Excellence in Construction Merit Award for their work on the Growler Station Project.

Project manager Henry Bellew and Business Developemnt Manager Darath Mackie of Cely Construction Company on November 15th, 2012 accepted the prestigious award at the

ABC Carolinas 11th annual Excellence in Construction Award banquet Founders Hall in Charlotte, NC.

“The Excellence in Construction awards is an opportunity for the construction industry in the Carolinas to celebrate their efforts and achievements together. It is truly an honor to be recognized for excellence in this field and acknowledged for quality of our craft, regardless of the size of our firm.” Says Darath Mackie of Cely Construction Company.

The Growler Station Project consisted of a design build renovation to a vacant mercantile building shell almost one hundred years old in Greenville’s Historic West End district.

The design concept was developed to support the client’s vision of a rustic warehouse aesthetic upon which the business’ branding is based. Conscious efforts were made to protect and reuse as many materials from the original construction as possible, while incorporating new unique equipment and technology into the space, we were able to show that in construction you can preserve the essence, beauty, and culture of the past while being sustainable, creative, and inspiring for our future.

Cely Construction was also awarded an Eagle award for their excellence in construction for a middle school project to be announced at a later time.
